Ilvy is a Lebanese post-rock band that emerged in Beirut in 2016, recognized for its rich soundscapes that blend ambient drones, doom-gaze, and post-rock elements. The band orchestrates a striking "wall of sound" that fluidly shifts between powerful instrumentals and delicate melodies. Their first album, China Girl (2020), is a reflection of the member's memoir on the events of 2020, as it explores themes of self-destruction, liberation, and social struggles such as depression and trauma.
